About
Alright, hello! I’m Kris. By trade, I’m a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys tinkering with the backend, wrangling cloud services (especially AWS), and figuring out how complex systems fit together. My day job currently involves building and maintaining microservices primarily using Golang.
Over the years, I’ve had a hand in leading projects, making services run a bit smoother, sorting out containers, and generally trying to keep things stable – think better logging and making sure things don’t fall over completely if disaster strikes! I quite enjoy getting stuck into tricky technical puzzles and helping the team pull together.
On a more personal note, I’ve found a real favourite in the Elixir programming language. I also get a kick out of diving deep into the command line, especially with tools like Neovim – my main setup these days runs on Windows with WSL.
If you’re curious, you can check out my Neovim configuration or see what else I’m up to on my GitHub profile.
If you fancy the full story, my professional journey and all the techy bits are laid out in my CV.
